Q: WHAT PULLS THE WAGON?
A: The wagons are pulled by tractors. They are no longer horse drawn, but equally as fun and entertaining.
Q: HOW LONG IS THE WAGON RIDE?
A: The wagon ride and narration are approximately 28 minutes long. However, with check-in, waiting for your wagon to arrive, etc. we recommend that you plan on 45min-hour for the entire experience. We do have a fun and festive waiting and common area while you wait for your wagon. This includes concessions, treats, a fire pit, a movie, corn hole and more. We also have a pumpkin patch with fresh pumpkins from a local farmer - so get your pumpkins with us while you're here! We want you to enjoy your entire experience with us.
Q: WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT & UNIQUE
A: We are not intended to be a "spook alley" or a "haunted house". We are different in that we offer an entertaining wagon ride featuring a wonderful audio narration of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow with music and sound effects, accompanied by spooky scenes and natural creepy woods and atmosphere. The experience is eerie, intriguing and thrilling all together. What especially sets us apart from other Halloween attractions is our use of horses. Ichabod Crane, the Headless Horseman and other haunts and characters are horseback and interact with guests and the wagon. You will witness beautiful horses and skillful horsemanship as part of this Halloween experience.
Q: IS IT TOO SCARY FOR CHILDREN?
A: This is a Halloween activity that is intended for all to enjoy. The event includes a tractor drawn wagon ride through the woods while listening to an audio narration of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow Story being played throughout your ride. There are different sceneries and props along the way such as hanging ghosts in the trees, replica cemetery, etc. The Headless Horseman also makes an appearance with other ghost and goblin friends. It definitely has a Halloween theme, but is not intended to be overly scary. This is a unique Halloween activity that families will enjoy as well as teenagers and college age students.
Q: IS IT SCARY ENOUGH FOR ADULTS?
A: Yes, it is spooky for most. However, it is not our goal to be a spook alley. Our mission is to provide a unique wagon ride experience through the haunted woods of Sleepy Hollow. With that said, it is entertaining and fun. It isn't uncommon to hear thrilling screams from the woods, whether they're from the ghostly woman in white or the guests of Sleepy Hollow...who knows?! Please be aware that the later it gets in the night, the scarier it gets - so it is recommended that groups with younger children make reservations for earlier evening rides. Conversely, if you are wanting a more scary experience, we recommend that you make reservations later into the night (darkness).
